Vaccination for Pet

Vaccination for Pet

Puppies and kittens need a series of vaccinations. Because the schedule is very repetitive and spread out, it’s easy for busy owners to forget or miss doses. Timely reminders are very important. They protect young pets from dangerous diseases like parvovirus and leptospirosis, reduce the need for antibiotics, and help prevent the spread of antimicrobial resistance.

Why should we care about companion animal health?

Why should we care about companion animal health?

Caring for the health of companion animals is essential because they are fully dependent on their owners for their well-being, and a healthy pet directly contributes to a longer, happier life together. Beyond the immediate responsibility of ownership, ensuring pet health through nutrition, veterinary care, and exercise profoundly impacts the human-animal bond, provides stress relief, and can even improve the owner's own physical and mental wellness.

Digital health in Companion animals

Digital health in companion animal medicine is essential for transitioning from reactive treatment to proactive, personalised, and efficient care. As pets live longer and are increasingly considered family members, digital tools bridge the gap between infrequent clinic visits, improving both patient outcomes and owner compliance in vaccinations and other routine care services.

About us

PetShield is a practical web-based pet health management system designed for pet owners, breeders, and veterinary clinics. It helps you easily keep accurate health records, receive timely vaccination reminders, and complete the full initial puppy vaccination schedule.

PetShield protects puppies from serious preventable diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, and leptospirosis by making prevention simple and consistent. This reduces the need for antibiotics when puppies get sick, helping to fight the growing problem of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) that affects animals, humans, and the environment.

Through user-friendly tools like vaccination cards, SMS and WhatsApp reminders, visual nudges, and a simple reward system, PetShield supports busy pet owners to stay on track. We also work closely with veterinary clinics to turn them into prevention ambassadors rather than just treatment providers.

What is Petshield all about?

PetShield is a practical web-based pet health management system designed for pet owners, breeders, and veterinary clinics. It helps you easily keep accurate health records, receive timely vaccination reminders, and complete the full initial puppy vaccination schedule.

How often should I take my pet to the vet?

At minimum, your pet should have a complete physical examination at least once a year. Puppies and kittens, senior pets, and pets with chronic health conditions may need more frequent visits. Annual check-ups are important not just for vaccinations but for early detection of health problems disease in animals is often identified at a later stage than in humans, making regular exams crucial.

Why is preventive care better than waiting until my pet gets sick?

Prevention is the best defence against diseases that can cause serious illness or even death. Treating a disease after it has taken hold is often much more expensive and less effective than preventing it in the first place. Regular preventive care also helps catch health concerns early, when they are easier and less costly to manage. Plus, keeping your pet healthy means more happy, worry-free years together.
